CLASSIC PUMA DEFENDERS FROM $99,000 CAD
WE START WITH THE RIGHT FOUNDATION
We don't rely on major restorations to make an average Defender look exceptional. Instead, we start with an exceptional Defender.
Our focus is on beautifully preserved, left-hand-drive examples from dry European climates, with particular attention to originality, chassis condition, ownership history and overall care.
We look for:

Condition always comes first. If the right Defender isn't available, we would rather keep searching than compromise.
CHOOSE YOUR DEFENDER
DEFENDER 90
Compact, agile and unmistakably classic. The 90 is the shortest Defender and the easiest to manoeuvre, while retaining exceptional off-road capability.
DEFENDER 110
Our most popular model and the best all-around choice for everyday use. The 110 combines five-door practicality, increased passenger and cargo space, and a smoother highway ride.
DEFENDER 130
The rarest of the three. The 130 combines a four-door cabin with a high-capacity pickup box.
Our primary focus is the more refined 2007+ Puma-era Defender, although exceptional TD5 and earlier Defenders can also be sourced by special request.

THE SOURCING PROCESS
01 | TELL US WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR
Choose your preferred Defender model, colour and any required factory specifications.
We will begin watching our European network for the right vehicle.
02 | WE SOURCE THE BEST MATCH
We search European listings and our established contacts for Defenders that meet your request and our condition standards.
We identify a strong candidate. If it isn't right, we keep searching.
03 | INSPECT, APPROVE & RESERVE
Once you are interested in a specific candidate, we arrange for our trusted European specialist to perform an in-person inspection.
You receive the inspection information and supporting photographs for final approval.
Only once you are satisfied with the Defender does a $50,000 CAD refundable reservation secure the vehicle and allow Pacific Off-Road to proceed with the purchase and export.
Your reservation is applied directly toward the purchase price.
04 | PURCHASE & IMPORT
Pacific Off-Road purchases the Defender and manages the complete import process, including European export documentation, international shipping, and Canadian customs.
Typical timeline: approximately 3 months from reserving your approved Defender in Europe to its arrival at Pacific Off-Road in British Columbia.
05 | PREPARE & DELIVER
Once in Canada, every Defender undergoes a comprehensive mechanical inspection followed by a substantial mechanical renewal, typically involving approximately $10,000 in preventative maintenance, repairs, tires and age-related components.
This goes far beyond a basic inspection and fluid service. Each Defender also receives a full cosmetic reconditioning, including deep steam cleaning, paint correction and polishing, before being thoroughly road-tested and prepared for delivery.
Once complete, the remaining vehicle balance is paid and ownership is transferred to you.

A SAFER WAY TO BUY OVERSEAS
Buying a Defender directly from Europe can be complicated. Photos rarely tell the full story, and the quality of Defenders varies enormously. Repaired panels, hidden corrosion and years of neglect often cannot be properly assessed without seeing the vehicle in person.
Pacific Off-Road manages the entire process from beginning to end, but more importantly, we know what to walk away from.
We follow strict standards for originality, chassis condition, bodywork, history and overall care. Many Defenders are rejected before ever being presented to a client.
You do not place a $50,000 reservation on an unknown vehicle. We first find the right Defender, arrange a professional inspection and provide the results for your approval.
Only then do you reserve it.
If the Defender does not meet the agreed condition upon arrival, or the import exceeds the terms of the reservation agreement, your reservation is fully refundable.

Pacific Off-Road began importing Defenders in 2014 after owner Geoffrey Davies travelled to Europe in search of an original Defender that met his own standards.
More than 100 imports later, one thing remains clear: exceptional condition and originality matter most.
